Just got back from Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) this last Friday. This was my second trip out there. More on that later.

NASA has a pretty neat calendar that tells you what happened on this month/day. Here's what happened on my birthday (January 5th). It doesn't say what year Goddard got his funding, but he got a $5,000 grant from the Smithsonian on that day in 1917 (that'd be about $76,500 in today's money).
